MARRAKECH EXTRAVAGANZA

DAY 1 : Casablanca

Arrival at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport where you will be met and accompanied to your hotel. Lunch at leisure followed by a city tour of Casablanca to include the medina (old quarters), the famous central market, the Hassan II Mosque (exterior visit), the residential suburbs and the magnificent " Corniche " coast overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Overnight accommodation.

DAY 2 : Casablanca-Marrakech

After breakfast, you will leave for Marrakech via Settat. After checking-in, the afternoon is devoted to the discovery of Marrakech: the Koutoubia mosque and its imposing minaret, the Bahia Palace and gardens, the Saadien Tombs, the fine imperial gardens of the Agdal and the Menara gardens. Dinner is at " Chez Ali " fantasia, an authentic folklore show in a Moroccan atmosphere under caidal tents in the palmgroves of Marrakech. Overnight accommodation

DAY 3 : Marrakech

In the morning, visit the souks of Marrakech, with its maze of shops, stalls, small streets and narrow alleyways. The souk is indeed a feast for the senses with row after row of spices, perfumed oils, magic potions, silver, gold, brass, slippers, leather goods and of course the lovely carpets and rugs. After the souks, go to Jamaa El Fna square, the heart of Marrakech where you will find conjurers, story tellers, magicians, fortune tellers, snake charmers, singers, monkey handlers and much more. DAY 4 : Ourika

After breakfast, drive to Ourika valley. The peaceful valley of Ourika is located approximately 60 kms from the noisy and vibrant city life of Marrakech. Nestling in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, the small mud built houses dotted along the valley of gurgling streams give no indication of the 20th century life. Visit an authentic berber house which is powered by a water mill and relax enjoying the scenery en route. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight accommodation at the hotel

DAY 5 : Essaouira

After breakfast, visit Morocco's most beautiful coastline and the city of Essaouira, formerly a Portuguese stronghold fortified in it's own architecture overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Tour this fascinating city where the guide will give a detailed historical overview of Essaouira. Optional lunch in one of the oldest restaurants overlooking the beach. Return to Marrakech in the afternoon. Overnight accommodation at the hotel

DAY 6 : Marrakech

Free morning at leisure for a final plunge into the atmosphere of Marrakech or for relaxing by the pool. You guide will call at your hotel to collect the luggage and transfer to the airport for your return flight.
